How to pay in foreign currency

Find out how and how much to pay in order to buy shares

International Bank Transfer

A direct international bank transfer from your local bank to our South African bank account is very simple and straightforward.

  • After you places your order you will receive an email with the details of our bank account (incl. SWIFT number etc.)
  • You specify how much money GrowMyHome should receive (i.e. ZAR 2.000)
  • Your bank will charge you for the transfer directly.

National Bank Transfer

All EU countries, Canada and UK

You transfer the money from your local bank account to our (GrowMyHome) local bank account in your country or region (EU).
If you live in one of those countries, this is usually the easiest and cheapest way to transfer the money.

  • After you placed your order you will receive an email with the details of our bank account. 
  • Find out how much you need to pay in your local currency going by using the WISE calculator

    (Wise gives you full transparency to find out how they calculate their fees and what exchange rate they use.)

    After you have clicked on their website (see below) go through the following steps:

 

1. Set the currency (“You send”) to the one you want to pay with (here:  EUR)

2. Set the destination currency (“Recipient gets exactly”) to the currency your investment deal is in (here: ZAR)

3. Insert the amount your want to invest / the cost of the shares  (here: 20.000)

4. You see on top how much you need to transfer to our account (here: 1,059.85)

 

Please keep in mind that you need to do this right before you issue the transfer. 

If between the issuance of your transfer and the receipt in our account is a significant currency exchange rate drop, we reserve the right to return the money back to you.

If you are a WISE (name of the bank) customer you can transfer from wherever you are and WISE allows it by using our username / email which as specified in the email you receive after the order.

National Bank Transfer (Nigeria)

If you investing from Nigeria, you can transfer directly to a local bank account.

  • After you places your order you will receive an email with the details of our bank account.
  • Calculate how much you need to transfer in Naira through the WISE Exchange Rate Calculator
  • Transfer the amount indicates there.

Please keep in mind that you need to do this right before you issue the transfer.
